Water Conservation Incentive Rebates
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Mojave Water Agency has announced that the Water Conservation Incentive Program (WCIP) will be undergoing changes due to reductions in funding. Phone calls and customer inquiries should be directed to Hi-Desert Water District and should no longer be directed to Niagara Conservation Corporation or the “800” number.
The budget for the next Fiscal Year has been reduced with several significant changes to the WCIP beginning almost immediately.
· Toilet Vouchers- As of May 28, 2010, no additional toilet voucher applications will be accepted. After the thirty-day redemption period (or June 28, 2010), any unredeemed vouchers will be voided and expired vouchers will not be replaced.
· Clothes Washer and Toilet Rebates- No rebate applications will be accepted after June 30, 2010. Rebate applications received before June 30, 2010 will be processed and qualifying applicants will receive a rebate check. Please discard both program applications for rebates after June 30, 2010.
· Cash for Grass Rebates- Please discard applications for rebates before June 30, 2010. Applicants who have submitted their applications before June 30, 2010 will be in the queue for a rebate. However, removal of the grass must be completed according to the terms on the application by December 30, 2010.
Mojave Water Agency has the right to modify or suspend the program at its discretion. No exceptions to the end dates provided will be granted at this time.
Mojave Water Agency plans to reinstate the cash for grass program only, starting in November 2010. The guidelines for that program will be completed this summer.
