Welcome home to Hi-Desert Water District ... 

Hi-Desert Water District is located in the Town of Yucca Valley, approximately 30 minutes north of Palm Springs, in the southeast portion of the Mojave Desert. The District provides water service to the Town of Yucca Valley and portions of the unincorporated area of San Bernardino County. Through approximately 10,000 service connections the District serves a population of approximately 24,000 people.  The Hi-Desert Water District is a public agency/special district governed by a five member board, elected by the people.  

Mission Statement

To provide a dependable water supply and wastewater treatment for the customers of the 
Hi-Desert Water District in a safe, efficient, and financially responsible manner.

HDWD Considers Wastewater Project Alternatives

The Hi-Desert Water District is considering alternate ways of meeting Yucca Valley’s wastewater treatment needs. A system currently under consideration was presented at January’s Wastewater Public Advisory Committee (WPAC) meeting. WPAC consists of 19 community members who meet on a monthly basis to participate in the Wastewater Project planning process.
