Water Conservation
Within the last seven years, the term "water conservation" has been
a topic many people in California have been practicing, especially during times of drought. Many water districts
throughout the state have adopted numerous conservation methods in order
to maximize one of natures most valuable resources. The following is a
list of the District's water use prohibitions:
Water Use Prohibitions
- Washing of sidewalks, walkways, driveways with a hose is prohibited.
- Water shall not be used to clean, fill, operate or maintain levels in decorative fountains, unless such water is part of a recycling system.
- Potable water from within the District shall not be used to maintain dirt roads without application to the District.
- Non-commercial washing of privately owned vehicles is permitted only from a bucket and a hose equipped with an automatic shut-off nozzle.
- No use of water which results in flooding or run-off onto hardscape, driveways,
streets, adjacent lands or into gutters shall be permitted.
