About Your Wastewater Treatment Facility

The Hi-Desert Water District has constructed and now operates a Wastewater Treatment Plant and a wastewater collection system to comply with the Regional Water Quality Control Board resolution (Resolution R7-2011-004) identifying the Town of Yucca Valley as a top priority for eliminating the use of septic systems. The resolution led to an amendment to the Regional Board's Water Quality Control Basin Plan which was adopted on May 19, 2011 and imposed a three-phased septic tank prohibition on new and existing septic systems within the Town.
