Water Quality - Cross Connection and Backflow Prevention Program

HDWD is committed to delivering safe and reliable drinking water to our customers.

From protecting our water supply sources to ensuring the entire treatment and distribution process is secure, our water quality program operates non-stop. We want to ensure the water delivered to our customers is kept free from hazardous conditions and harmful contaminants that risk the safe drinking water supply.

Our cross connection and backflow prevention program plays a key role in our water quality. The program's importance is due to how backflow devices prevent back-siphonage and back-pressure into HDWD's main water supply, protecting water supply from cross contamination.

2024 Board President

Scot McKone was selected to be the 2024 President of the Hi-Desert Water District Board of Directors. The President serves an important role leading the board meetings in compliance with the Brown Act, assigning committees, signing contracts and other duties imposed by the Board and prescribed by law.

Our Board meetings are regularly scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month and are open to the public.
