Sewer Rates
Effective July 1, 2025
Sewer Maintenance Fees begin once a property is connected to the sewer system.
Residential Properties
Residential properties will be charged the monthly sewer maintenance fees through their property tax bill. *
Single Family Residential (SFR) $60.71. ($728.52 annually)
Multi-Family Residential (MFR) $45.53 per unit.
Mobile Home Property (MHP) $36.43 per mobile home.
*Phase 2 Surcharge (Currently Proposed): The District would like to inform you of a proposed monthly fee of $14.03 - $17.03 that may be implemented to cover Phase 2’s proportional share of the wastewater reclamation facility. While the District was successful in securing a $103 million grant to significantly reduce overall Phase 2 costs, a local share remains for the treatment plant component serving Phase 2 customers. The proposed $14.03 - $17.03 monthly fee is intended specifically to fund Phase 2’s portion of the plant costs. This would not be a property assessment, but rather a monthly charge tied directly to the capital investment required to provide wastewater treatment service. No final action has been taken at this time. The Board will review the proposal at an upcoming public meeting before deciding. If approved, the fee would be reflected on future utility bills.
Commercial Properties
Commercial properties are charged based on the monthly water use and are billed monthly. Monthly $60.71 per Equivalent Dwelling Unit (EDU), minimum one.
Equivalent Dwelling Unit (EDU) Formula
An EDU is calculated with a mathematical formula determined by assessment engineers to measure a property's demand on the sewer and wastewater treatment facilities, and the particular benefit it receives from those facilities or infrastructure.
The EDUs are determined by property type as follows:
- Commercial - EDUs vary depending on actual water use.
- Mobile Home Per Unit -.60 EDUs
- Multi-Family Per Unit -.75 EDUs
- Single Family Residence - 1 EDU
