Where does our water come from?

We rely on the ground to store our water. Hi-Desert Water District imports water from Northern California through the State Water Project.  The water is purchased through Mojave Water Agency, and transported through the Morongo Basin Pipeline.

Groundwater Foundation

The Groundwater Foundation The Groundwater Foundation provides motivational and inspirational education and community-based action programs that creatively involve individuals, communities, and public and private entities in groundwater conservation and protection.

Groundwater Guardian Mission

Groundwater Guardian is a program of The Groundwater Foundation that provides support and encouragement for communities and teams of all types (cities, counties, watersheds, organizations, agencies, schools, etc.) to begin groundwater awareness activities, motivation to continue these efforts, and recognition for their achievements.
