Water Shutoff Policy

The Board of Directors adopted the SB 998 Water Shutoff Policy, outlining water shut-off procedures for non-payment. 
The policy applies to customers re who are eligible according to the State's definition.

Water Shutoff Protection Act Discontinuation of Residential Water Service for Nonpayment

In February, 2019, SB 998 went into effect. Known as the Water Shutoff Protection Act, this law requires residential accounts to be 60 days delinquent before water utilities can discontinue water service for nonpayment.
